This is a fresh 4-week challenge that combines Pilates principles with strength training. The focus is on building lean muscle while preserving the flow and precision of Pilates.

 

Whether you're new to strength training or looking to level up your current Pilates routine, the Pilates Strength Challenge is the perfect way to explore the benefits of adding resistance to your Pilates workouts.

Each week of the challenge will bring 2 x new Pilates/Strength fusion classes included in a weekly schedule alongside feel-good Pilates flows and stretches designed to enhance strength, mobility and flexibility.

 

This powerful 4-week challenge has been thoughtfully crafted to help you achieve your strongest, most balanced body yet, while staying true to the mindful movement and core focus that make Pilates so transformative.

 

The Workouts 

 

The Pilates Strength Challenge includes a 4-week calendar of Pilates/Strength classes, alongside feel-good Pilates flows and stretches for the ultimate balanced approach.

 

The brand NEW class category included in this challenge is a Pilates/Strength fusion. These classes blend the best of both worlds – fluid yet powerful contemporary Pilates movements focused on alignment and control, enhanced with weight to increase muscle activation and growth.

 

I am so excited to bring you this new class category that focuses on full body strength, tone, alignment and mobility.

The Pilates Strength Challenge is available to all Pilates By Bel members. You can sign up to a Monthly or Annual Membership from anywhere in the world, including a 7-day free trial to get a taster of what my classes are like!

What equipment do I need?

 

The Pilates Strength Challenge is all about adding weight and resistance to your Pilates workouts to level up and get better results.

 

To get the most out of this challenge and the new Pilates/Strength hybrid classes, you will need a light to medium set of dumbbells (anywhere from 3 to 7kg). Additionally, I will be incorporating PBB Bands and PBB Weights throughout the challenge.

 

As always, equipment is entirely optional and all workouts can be done bodyweight only.

How do I prepare for the Pilates Strength Challenge?

 

Sign up to a Pilates By Bel membership here to start prepping for the challenge, which launches 6th January 2025.

 

Start by creating a routine. Set aside time each day to move your body (ideally in the morning!). This is your own time to reset, connect to your body and feel amazing.

 

Create a calm and inviting space to move. Whether this is in your bedroom, the lounge room, your gym or outside, find a space you feel most comfortable. Roll out your mat and start moving.
